Americans on average spend seven hours a day in sedentary position. This is according to one study done more than ten years ago. We have been sitting a lot more since then. Estimates from recent studies put the figure to 13 hours. And it should not come as a surprise. Office and computer related jobs have tied us to the desk and chair.

When life comes to a head

When we are healthy and normal we take a million things for granted. Our head sits comfortably on our shoulders and we look at the world with unblinking confidence. The thought never crosses our mind that this ability to hold our “head high”, physically and figuratively, is one of the many miracles of the human body. For it is in our nature not to appreciate things until they break down, until we feel their lack.
