The contoured saddle-shaped seat promotes an abducted prone sitting position. This helps to achieve a neutral pelvic position and improved trunk and head balance. With an adjustable height backrest and optional chest harness, varying levels of support can be provided according to each child’s needs. A height adjustable footplate and sandals ensures feet are appropriately supported, providing further pelvic stability.

Leg and Foot Positioning

Unsupported feet can contribute to instability of the pelvis, and therefore the alignment of the trunk and head.

The height adjustable footplate ensures feet are supported in the most appropriate position. When additional foot support is needed, sandals can be attached to the footplate to help give maximum pelvic stability. Prone angle adjustment can be used to increase anterior pelvic tilt and therefore promote the most active sitting posture possible. Recline is also available for when a more relaxed sitting posture is needed.

Pelvic Stability

The most important feature of any specialist seating or mobility system is its ability to support the pelvis in a neutral position. This gives the best possible base of support for trunk and head alignment and arm and hand function.
