The user may not feel pain/aches still staying in bed for long time. Powered mattresses can also prevent skin maceration by releasing less air and have shear management and pressure redistribution.
Non Powered Therapeutic Mattress
Non-powered mattresses are built by foam layers to distribute pressure laid by user’s body throughout the mattress. Non Powered Therapeutic Mattress specifically designed for the needs of the at-home patient at the risk of skin breakdown. These mattresses may be filled with air, fluid, foam, gel etc. to distribute pressure evenly and reduce friction to prevent skin breakdown and pressure sores/ulcers.
