For abdominal comfort, the Roosevelt car seat incorporates European-style harness routing. The Roosevelt Car Seat offers a weight range of 35 lbs. to 115 lbs. and a height range of 33.5" - 62". Seat extenders with padding provide ideal seat depth for each leg, and the seat is 30" tall from the bottom to the top.

A significant number of children, with neuromuscular conditions, exhibit poor neck control; resulting in the child's head "falling" forward. This is a source of discomfort to many of these children. Merritt manufacturing Roosevelt Car Seat is the first large medical seat to address this issue with a crash-tested product that is particularly effective for children with low muscle tone. The "EZ-Up" headrest uses velcro to attach a cap (worn by the occupant) to Roosevelt's headrest. This system is designed to keep the occupant's head in an upright position, without the need for significant recline. Please note that the standard seat depth of the Roosevelt (without an extender) is 12.5” as measured from back of buttocks to back of knee.
