The breathable film serves as an external contamination barrier against viruses and bacteria. According to in vitro tests, the transparent film offers a viral barrier against viruses with a diameter of at least 27 nm while the dressing remains intact and doesn't leak. Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing with Border has a soft fabric border designed to reduce catheter movement.
