Pivot 1.5 Cal is a peptide-based, complete, and balanced therapeutic nutrition formula designed to support short- or long-term tube feeding needs for metabolically stressed patients. It is specifically developed for individuals recovering from surgical procedures, trauma, burns, or head and neck cancer, who may benefit from an immune-modulating enteral formula. This advanced nutrition solution provides concentrated calories for patients requiring fluid restriction, along with high protein levels, specialized amino acids, and essential fatty acids to help maintain nutritional status during periods of increased metabolic demand. Engineered for reliable tolerance and efficient absorption, it offers targeted nutrients that help support immune function, tissue repair, and overall recovery. Suitable for tube feeding as either sole-source nutrition or supplemental support. Use under medical supervision.
Features
- Halal. Gluten-free.
- Flavor: Unflavored.
- Volume: 33.8 ounces.
- Lactose intolerance-friendly.
- Provides 1.5 Cal/mL of concentrated calories for fluid-restricted individuals.
- 1950 calories (1300 mL) give at least 100% of the recommended daily intakes for 25 important vitamins and minerals.
- Provides a high protein concentration (93.8 g/L, 25% of calories) to aid in protein synthesis, tissue regeneration, and wound healing.
- Increased antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, selenium, and beta-carotene can help prevent tissue and cell damage caused by oxidative stress.
Immune support:
- Glutamine (inherent) (7.6 g/L) for GI-tract integrity and energy for immune cells.
- Arginine (13 g/L, 3.5% of calories) to support the proliferation and function of immune cells.
- Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, 2.6 g/L; DHA, 1.1 g/L) to help modulate inflammation and support immune function.
Tolerance:
- Hydrolyzed, peptide-based protein system.
- Advanced blend of hydrolyzed protein, structured lipid, and prebiotics (scFOS) to promote absorption and tolerance.
- MCT/fish oil structured lipid, a well-tolerated and absorbed next-generation fat to promote absorption of fatty acids.
- 1.8 g of scFOS/8 fl oz (7.5 g/L). scFOS are prebiotic soluble fibers that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon.

Instructions for Use:
All medical foods, regardless of the type of administration system, require careful handling because they can support microbial growth. Follow these instructions for clean technique and proper setup to reduce the potential for microbial contamination.
NOTE: Failure to follow the INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE increases the potential for microbial contamination and may reduce hangtime.
- Administer product at room temperature.
- THOROUGHLY wash hands with soap and water before handling the container or feeding set.
- Turn the container upside down and SHAKE VIGOROUSLY, using a twisting motion for at least 10 seconds.
- DO NOT touch any part of the container or feeding set that comes into contact with the formula.
- When initiating feeding, follow the physician's instructions. Adjust flow rate and volume according to the patient's condition and tolerance.
- Additional fluid requirements should be met by giving water between or after feedings or when flushing the tube.
For Use with Enteral Feeding Pumps:
- Remove the dust cover from the RTH Safety Screw Cap.
- Remove the dust cover from the feeding set connector.
- Insert the feeding set connector into the port of the RTH Safety Screw Cap and completely pierce the foil.
- Turn the connector collar clockwise until it is securely fastened.
- Close the clamp on the set before inverting the container.
- Invert the container and suspend, using the hanging ring on the bottom of the container.
Precautions
- Follow directions for use provided by the manufacturer of the feeding sets.
- Unless a shorter hang time is specified by the set manufacturer, hang the product for up to 48 hours after initial connection when clean technique and only one new set are used. Otherwise, hang for no more than 24 hours.
- Not for IV use.
- Not suitable for people with galactosemia.
