Ablenet BIGmack is ideal for requesting something, engaging in an activity, or making a decision. The simplest and most efficient method for introducing a user to single message communication is BIGmack. Its broad 5 inch activation surface makes it an excellent choice for those with visual and physical limitations who want a larger target area.

A single message up to two minutes in length can be sent by pressing the large colorful top. Throughout the day, new messages can be effortlessly and rapidly recorded to the BIGmack, allowing for communication in nearly any situation.

Q: Why does the LED flash red 3-5 times and not play my message?
A: This is typically related to an issue with the battery installed in the device. There are two primary reasons this can occur:

1. The battery is low or depleted.
2. Your using a battery labeled "Heavy Duty", "Industrial Grade" or "ProCell". These types of batteries handle power differently than regular alkaline batteries, and when used in our devices they respond similar to low/dead batteries. We recommend using a regular alkaline battery to avoid any issues with recording or playing messages.

1. Turn the device on.
2. Press and hold the Record button until the LED flashes and you hear a beep sound from the device's speaker.
3. All recorded messages are now erased from the memory of the device.

1. Turn the BIGmack ON
2. Press and hold the record button for 15 - 20 seconds
3. You should hear the audible beeps and see the LED flash Red 3 - 5 times when this is complete

Q: How to Secure the Colored Switch Cap on the BIGmack
A: To better secure your switch top to the body of your BIGmack, we recommend adding a small amount of semi-permanent adhesive to the threads of the switch top. This will provide additional resistance to help hold the switch top in place. A semi-permanent adhesive such as:

• Elmer's School Glue
• Hot glue from a hot glue crafting gun
• Thread seal tape (otherwise known as plumber's tape)
• Removable mounting or poster putty
