Acticoat 7 Antimicrobial Barrier Dressing

Acticoat 7 Silver-Coated Antimicrobial Barrier Dressing uses innovative silver technology to create an effective barrier against bacterial penetration, hence promoting a clean and safe wound healing environment. It has a rayon/polyester blend core that manages moisture while controlling silver ion release via a silver-coated high-density polyethylene mesh. The pure silver nanocrystalline coating provides antimicrobial barrier protection in 30 minutes, which is faster than many other silver-based dressings.

Indications: Indicated for use on partial and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, first and second-degree burns, surgical wounds, and donor sites.

Contraindications:

• Do not use on patients with known sensitivity to silver.
• Remove from the anatomical field prior to MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
• Remove Acticoat before radiation therapy; a new dressing may be applied following treatment.
