Acticoat Silver Foam Dressing is a sterile silver-coated antimicrobial foam dressing that supports moist wound healing. It integrates nanocrystalline silver technology with an absorbent polyurethane foam core and adhesive film border to deliver sustained antimicrobial protection while assisting fluid management and protecting wounds from bacterial penetration.
Features:
- Nanocrystalline Silver Antimicrobial Barrier: Provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity that helps reduce bacterial colonization at the wound site.
- Promotes Moist Wound Environment: Helps maintain moisture balance in the presence of exudate, which supports healing.
- Absorbent Polyurethane Foam Core: Manages light to moderate exudate, assisting in fluid control.
- Adhesive-Coated Waterproof Film: Provides secure placement and helps prevent leakage.
- Effective Barrier Against Bacterial Penetration: Designed to protect the wound from external contaminants and microbial invasion.
Uses: Indicated for use in light to moderately exuding partial and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical incisions, first- and second-degree burns, and donor sites. Dressing may be used over debrided and partial-thickness wounds.
Contraindications: Do not use on patients with documented sensitivity to silver.
