Carefusion Airlife Tracheostomy Tube Holder

Carefusion Airlife Tracheostomy Tube Holder is used after a tracheostomy tube is inserted into a patient. The tracheostomy tube holder is placed on the patient by a nurse or caregiver who is familiar with the precautions to take when handling the tracheostomy tube, as well as the following procedures for cleaning the tracheostomy tube. The Adult (RES240A) or Pediatric (RES242A) Tracheostomy Tube Holder are the only two sizes offered. These two sizes should be large enough for all patients, from small to large, to fit around the neck.

The bracket of the tube holder can be tied in place after the trach tube is secured. The hook and loop closure prevents the tube from shifting as you carry on with your daily activities. When it's time to clean your tracheostomy tube, you can undo the clip just as easily as you put it on. The AirLife Trach Tube Collar is easy to wear with its two simple straps. Completely disposable, you can get a fresh brace once it gets dirty to reduce bacteria that can cause irritation to the skin area.
