Allevyn Gentle Border Sacrum Dressing

Allevyn Gentle Border Sacrum Dressing is a silicone gel adhesive hydrocellular foam dressing with a unique triple-action technology. It is made up of a top layer of highly permeable polyurethane, a layer of hydrocellular foam, and a perforated wound contact layer coated with gel glue. It has an innovative triple-layer design that combines great absorbency, comfort, and protection.

• Shower-proof dressings allow patients to shower while still wearing them.
• Top film serves as a microbiological and waterproof barrier.
• The wider border helps to secure the dressing to the sacral area.
• A tail at the end of the dressing improves conformability.
• Reduces the likelihood of pressure injury formation and pressure-related tissue damage as part of a preventative strategy.
• The silicone wound contact layer can be lifted and reinstalled without affecting its adhesive characteristics.
• Three perforated slots assist in positioning around the cleft.
• It has been shown to lessen the occurrence of stage 1 sacral pressure injuries and reduced skin integrity in critically ill individuals.

Intended for use on: Chronic and acute, full-thickness, partial-thickness or granulating exuding wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, surgical wounds, infected wounds and burns (first- and second-degree)

Directions to use:

1. Cleanse the application site, ensuring the surrounding skin is clean, dry, and free from excess hair. Select the appropriate dressing size, ensuring the absorbent pad covers the entire wound.
2. Peel back the first liner and apply the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin.
3. If necessary, the dressing can be repositioned as required.

For Removal: To remove the dressing, lift one corner and slowly peel back until it is completely removed from the wound.
