Assure ID Safety Pen Needles are now available in three models: Assure ID DUO PRO (with back-end shield), Assure ID PRO (without back-end shield) and Assure ID Standard. The safety features enhance the overall safety profile, while the needle's design ensures precise insulin delivery. The sterile packaging ensures that each needle remains uncontaminated until use, promoting a hygienic and secure insulin administration process.

• Assure ID DUO PRO and PRO Safety Pen Needle:

1. Remove the protective seal from the safety pen needle.
2. Attach the safety pen needle to the pen injector device by twisting it clockwise until it is firmly secured. Note that if you're using the Assure ID PRO safety pen needle, there won't be a safety shield on the connection end.
3. Prime the pen injector device according to the instructions for use provided with the pen injector.
4. When you're ready to inject, remove the safety cover from the pen needle to reveal the needle.
5.  Inject the medication into the skin as directed by your physician. You may need to lift the skin before injection depending on your physician's advice.
6. After injecting, hold the pen in place for 5 to 10 seconds as instructed by your physician. This ensures the entire dose is delivered and reduces the chance of medication leakage.
7.  Remove the pen needle from the injection site by pulling it straight out. The safety mechanism on the patient end will automatically activate as you withdraw the needle, reducing the risk of needle stick injury.
8. Securely attach the safety cover over the patient-end safety shield by pushing it into place.
9.  Remove the safety pen needle from the pen injector device by twisting it counter clockwise. The connection-end safety shield should engage automatically when removed to prevent needle sticks. Dispose of the needle in a sharps container. If you're using the Assure ID PRO safety pen needle, be aware that there is no safety shield on the connection end.

• Assure ID Standard Safety Pen Needle:

1. Remove the Seal: Peel back the seal on the safety pen needle carefully, then discard the seal.
2. Attach the Pen Needle: Securely attach the safety pen needle to the pen injection device by twisting it clockwise (as shown in the instructions) until it is tightly attached.
3. Prime the Pen Injector: Follow the instructions for priming in the pen injector's manual. With the Clear Prime safety cover, you can see the priming drops, indicating the device is properly primed.
4. Prepare for Injection: When you're near the patient and ready to inject, remove the Clear Prime safety cover from the pen needle to expose the needle.
5. Inject the Medication: Administer the injection as recommended by your physician, with or without a skin lift.
6. Hold the Injection: After injecting, hold the pen in place for 5 to 10 seconds, as directed by your physician, to ensure the full dose is delivered and to prevent medication leakage.
7. Remove the Needle: Lift the needle straight up from the injection site to withdraw it.
8. Attach the Safety Cover: Securely attach the clear cover over the shielded needle by pushing it over the shielded needle and white barrel.
9. Detach the Pen Needle: To remove the safety pen needle from the pen injection device, twist it counter-clockwise using your fingers on the clear cover. Immediately dispose of the used safety pen needle in an approved sharps container, following your facility's sharps safety protocols.
