Intelligent Design:
The cable-assisted cleaning brush has 14 rows of bristles and a flexible distal tip to thoroughly clean the endoscope’s many components. Although this tool is single-ended, dual-ended brushes are also available. Both versions are disposable and non-sterile, meeting the needs of various cleaning requirements and ensuring compliance with the Multi-Society Guidelines for Reprocessing Flexible Gastrointestinal Endoscopes.
Usage Instructions:
- Inspection: Remove the cleaning brush from the package and unwind. Inspect for physical damage or irregularities. Do not use if damaged.
- Procedure: Select the appropriate brush size for the endoscope channel, parts, connectors, and orifices.
- Insert and advance the distal brush through the endoscope channel according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Do not pull the brush completely through the distal end; remove it from the proximal end of the endoscope channel.
- Insert the proximal brush into valves and valve seats as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Disposal: Dispose of the cleaning brush according to facility protocol after each use.
