B. Braun Spike Adapter is designed to permit connection of a nonvented IV spike to an IV bottle that requires venting, supporting proper fluid delivery during intravenous therapy. Manufactured for clinical use, this sterile adapter helps maintain closed-system integrity when used with aseptic technique. The device is intended for single-use applications and should be replaced in accordance with CDC guidelines. Supplied sterile and non-pyrogenic in an unopened, undamaged package, B. Braun Spike Adapter is not made with natural rubber latex or DEHP, aligning with modern safety standards for healthcare environments.
Instructions for Use:
Use aseptic technique.
Replace set per CDC guidelines.
- Remove spike protector and insert spike into the fluid outlet of the IV bottle.
- Firmly insert IV spike into the tubing coupler attached to the spike connector.
STERILE EO – Contents sterile in unopened, undamaged package.
NONPYROGENIC
For single use only.
Do not resterilize.
Not made with natural rubber latex or DEHP.
