Bard All-Purpose Red Rubber Urethral Catheters

Bard All-Purpose Red Rubber Urethral Catheters has a hollow, rounded tip and is a radiopaque red rubber catheter that is suitable for use as a Nelaton or a Robinson catheter. Two opposing drainage eyes are present on the sterile, single-use, 16" long catheter, which is made of natural rubber latex. The Bard 16” red rubber urethral catheter is sterile and designed for single use only.

How to use Bard All-Purpose Red Rubber Urethral Catheter?

• Use soap and water to thoroughly wash your hands.
• Take the catheter out of the package.
• Taking a comfortable position, clean the urethral opening and its surroundings.
• Gently push the catheter's rounded tip into the urethra.
• Remove the catheter from the urethra when the urine flow stops.
• Urethral Catheter should be disposed of in line with local laws and regulations.
• Sanitize your hands.

Precautions for Bard All-Purpose Red Rubber Urethral Catheter

• Keep catheters at room temperature, away from bright lights, and ideally in the original packaging.
• Use only lubricants without a petrolatum base on latex and red rubber catheters as they will damage the latex.
• Before using the Urethral Catheter, visually check it for flaws or surface deterioration.
• Reuse and/or repackaging may increase the risk of infection in patients or users.
