Bardex Lubricath Temp-Sensing Foley Catheter is a type of Urinary Catheter that features a temperature sensor that measures the urine temperature present inside the bladder which eventually determines the core body temperature. The temperature-sensing Foley Catheter allows for continuous monitoring of bladder temperature. The Foley catheter has a balloon at the tip that is inflated once it is in place to help keep the catheter securely in the bladder. It also has a small, removable temperature sensor attached to the end of the catheter that continuously measures the temperature of the urine in the bladder. The Bard temp-sensing Foley catheters are available in silicone or latex.
