BD Insyte Autoguard Winged Shielded IV Catheter is designed reducing the risk of accidental needle-stick injuries. It is made of BD Vialon biomaterial and features stabilizing wings which provide a large surface area for taping down the catheter, thereby improving catheter securement. Instaflash Needle Technology reduces painful hit-and-miss insertions. The unique Push-Button Shielding mechanism helps release the spring and allow the needle and flash chamber to quickly retract into the safety barrel. The clinician can maintain control of the process by deciding when to activate the push-button shielding mechanism.
