Big Button AAC Device by Attainment Company is an easy-to-use device with a large activation space that requires minimal movement to push.
Features:
There are two modes for the Big Button: tap-to-talk mode and single message. In single message mode, you receive one excellent-sounding message. In tap-to-talk mode, users can select one of up to three messages based on the number of taps on the button (analogous to single or double-clicking a mouse). The first message is played with one button tap, the second with two taps, and the third with three taps.
The Big Button with Steps and Levels also features two modes: steps and levels. While in the steps mode, it is possible to log three activities, with each comprising a maximum of ten 6-second steps. Once recorded, you choose an activity and the user plays the steps in order, one at a time. An LCD shows the activity and step number. The level mode gives you an additional ten distinct messages. Until you change the level, the message remains unchanged.
With an overlay storage compartment on the back, changing an overlay is a breeze. Messages can be erased or edited easily without impacting the other recordings. As an example, to modify Step 5 in a Making Coffee activity, you just need to choose the activity, hit record, navigate to Step 5, click the play button, and capture your new message. All other steps stay the same.
