Bodypoint® Essentials Two-Point Padded Hip Belt is lightweight, crush-resistant, and designed to keep accidental releases from happening. The innovative edge binding and outer layer of cordura fabric increase dirt resistance and durability while reducing wrinkles and enhancing comfort and skin integrity. The Flat-MountTM end fittings made of plastic reinforced with metal are included with the two-point center-pull hip belt in order to facilitate mounting. While high-performance foam pads offer better resiliency and pressure distribution, a soft, wrinkle-free fabric lining improves comfort.
New DuraLatchTM Buckle – This durable and stylish aircraft-style buckle has a patented design created specifically for CRT use. Designed with an easy-to-lift cover, this buckle accommodates all levels of hand function. Add optional Pull Loop (sold separately) to slot on buckle cover to make release even easier. A two-stage release and wide 70° opening angle minimize accidental detachment. Comfortable, lightweight resin significantly exceeds ISO standards for strength. Available in sizes M46 and L62.
Side Release Buckle – Familiar design is lightweight, crush resistant, and prevents accidental release. Available in sizes S38, M46 and L62.

Q. What is the difference between the DuraLatch™ and Side Release buckles?
A. DuraLatch™ buckle offers enhanced safety with a two-stage release, wide
70° opening angle, and easy-lift cover—ideal for users with limited hand
function. The Side Release buckle features a familiar, crush-resistant design
that prevents accidental opening and is easy to use.
Q. What sizes are available, and how do I choose the right one?
A. The hip belt is available in S38, M46, and L62, where the number
indicates the padded section length in centimeters (approx. 15", 18", and 24").
Choose based on user hip width and wheelchair frame compatibility. Size M46 fits
most standard users.
Q. Is the belt comfortable for long-term daily use?
A. The belt features high-performance foam padding, a CORDURA® outer layer,
and soft, wrinkle-free lining to provide all-day comfort, superior pressure
distribution, and maintain skin integrity, even with extended wear.
Q. How is the belt mounted to a wheelchair?
A. Each belt includes Flat-Mount™ metal-reinforced plastic end fittings for
secure mounting. These low-profile attachments work with most wheelchair frames
and allow for center-pull adjustments to fine-tune fit and support.
Q. Is this hip belt safe and durable for clinical use?
A. It meets or exceeds ISO and ANSI/RESNA strength and safety standards,
making it a reliable option for clinical and CRT environments. The durable
proprietary webbing resists twisting and abrasion for long-term performance.
Q. Can users with limited hand mobility operate the buckle?
A. DuraLatch™ version is specifically designed for users with limited dexterity,
featuring a large, easy-to-grasp cover and optional Pull Loop (sold separately)
for easier release.
