FAQs
FAQs
Q. What makes the Rehab Latch™ Buckle ideal for medical use?
A. The Rehab Latch™ Buckle is a low-profile, lightweight, and durable buckle
designed for clinical and home environments. It's easy to operate for users or
caregivers with limited hand function while offering a secure and reliable
closure.
Q. What is a rear-pull hip belt and how does it benefit users?
A. A rear-pull belt tightens from the rear ends of the pads toward the
center buckle. This design allows caregivers to secure one side of the pelvis
first, which helps counter pelvic rotation—especially helpful for users with
asymmetrical posture or high muscle tone.
Q. How comfortable is this belt for all-day use?
A. It includes closed-cell foam padding that’s both soft and resilient. The
padding offers superior pressure distribution, helping to prevent skin breakdown
or discomfort even during extended periods of sitting.
Q. What’s special about Bodypoint’s webbing material?
A. Bodypoint’s proprietary webbing features smoother edges for skin safety
and a weave that resists stretching (creep). It also repels dirt and moisture,
making it ideal for long-term hygienic use.
Q. Is the D-ring easy to adjust for users or caregivers with large hands?
A. Absolutely. Bodypoint’s exclusive D-ring design is deeper and more
stable, making it easy to grasp—even for individuals with larger hands or
reduced grip strength.
Q. Is this belt compatible with my wheelchair or seating system?
A. Most likely, yes. This hip belt can be mounted to most manual and power
wheelchair frames. However, we recommend reviewing your chair's dimensions to
ensure a secure fit.
