Bodypoint® PivotFit™ dynamic shoulder harness has multi-directional (MD) pull straps that can be configured as front-pull or rear-pull during fitting to better accommodate individual user needs. The dynamic style allows for controlled movement, which aids in the management of spastic tone. Bodypoint® PivotFit™ shoulder harness has a swivel buckle that allows for precise pad placement based on the user's body shape and comfort. Bodypoint® PivotFit™ shoulder harness with curved Laminar Pad™s conform to the contours of the shoulders and ribcage, and a lowered sternum adjustment strap reduces the risk of choking.
The optional grommet straps can be used as an alternative attachment method. Clip the grommet straps to the end of MD pull straps for more compact front-pull installation.

Q. How do the MD pull straps enhance usability?
A. The MD pull straps can be set up as front-pull (for user independence) or
rear-pull (for caregiver assistance) during fitting, offering flexibility to
meet individual needs. This adaptability ensures the harness aligns with the
user’s mobility and support requirements without needing to specify the pull
style at purchase.
Q. What does the dynamic style mean for users?
A.
The dynamic style allows the harness to stretch and move with the user,
accommodating involuntary movements or spastic tone. This controlled flexibility
reduces resistance, minimizes discomfort, and supports natural movements like
leaning or reaching, making it ideal for users with muscle tone variability.
Q. How does the swivel buckle improve the fit?
A.
The swivel buckle enables the harness pads to pivot and adjust tension
automatically, ensuring the pads align with the user’s body shape. This feature
provides a more comfortable and secure fit, particularly for users with
asymmetrical torsos or unique contours.
Q. How do the curved Laminar Pads contribute to comfort?
A.
The curved Laminar Pads are designed to follow the natural contours of the
shoulders and ribcage, distributing pressure evenly to prevent discomfort or
skin irritation. This makes the harness suitable for long-term use, especially
for users sensitive to pressure points.
Q. Do I need strap guides for installation?
A.
Strap guides are recommended for wheelchairs with low, curved, or non-standard
backrests to optimize strap placement. They allow adjustments to the strap’s
height, angle, and position, ensuring effective support. Strap guides are
available separately on our website.
Q. What are the end-fitting options, and how do I choose?
A. The harness offers two end-fitting options:
