Bodypoint® rear-pull four-point padded hip belt with push-button buckle helps to prevent pelvic rotation by allowing the caregiver to position one side of the pelvis, lock it in place, and then position the other side. Bodypoint® four-point hip belts provide support and keep the belt from riding up the abdomen or twisting. Bodypoint® four-point Padded Hip Belt attaches to the wheelchair in four places to ensure that the pelvis remains aligned and stable against the seat and back supports. Bodypoint®'s padded hip belt also has a removable cover for changing the size of the release hole and for easy cleaning.
The seat mounting bracket (optional) makes it simple and secure to attach belts to active wheelchairs. They are best suited for chairs with sling seat upholstery or a solid seat base. The 20° bracket is intended for installation on the side of the seat tube, while the 90° bracket is ideal for installation on top. For a better fit, either configuration places the belt as close to the user as possible.

Q. What is the purpose of a 4-point padded hip belt, and who is it for?
A. This belt is designed to securely stabilize the pelvis in a wheelchair, preventing forward sliding, pelvic rotation, and thrusting. It's ideal for users with high tone, anterior/posterior pelvic tilt, or sliding risks due to reduced core control.
Q. How does the 4-point attachment improve safety compared to a 2-point belt?
A. Unlike traditional belts, the 4-point design anchors in four locations—two primary and two secondary straps—to prevent the belt from riding up into the abdomen or twisting, providing superior pelvic alignment and fall-risk reduction.
Q. What sizes are available, and how do I choose the right one?
A. Two sizes are offered:
Measure the user’s hip width and seating system to ensure a snug, secure fit without pressure points.
Q. Is this hip belt compatible with all wheelchairs?
A. It works with most wheelchairs, especially those with sling upholstery or solid seat bases. Optional 20° or 90° mounting brackets ensure a secure fit on various frame types, positioning the belt close to the user's pelvis.
Q. What makes this belt more comfortable for long-term use?
A. The pads feature closed-cell foam for excellent pressure distribution and a soft, wrinkle-free fabric lining. The deeper D-ring makes adjustments easier, even for users or caregivers with limited hand strength.
Q. Is the belt easy to clean and maintain?
A. Yes. The belt includes a removable cover for quick cleaning and hygienic maintenance. The push-button buckle has a low-profile, snag-free design that’s easy to wipe down and durable for everyday use.
