Bodypoint® rear-pull four point padded hip belt with side release buckle attaches to the wheelchair in four places to assure that the pelvis does not move from an aligned, stable position and stays securely against the seat and back supports. Bodypoint® four-point hip belt has primary straps position the belt and secondary straps anchor the belt in position to prevent it from riding up into the abdomen or twisting. Bodypoint® rear-pull four point hip belt provides support that prevent the belt from riding up the abdomen and counters pelvic rotation by allowing the caregiver to position one side of the pelvis, lock it in place and then position on the other side. Bodypoint® padded hip belt with rear pull tightens from the rear of the pad pulling toward the center.
Seat mounting bracket (optional) provides an easy & secure way to mount belts to active wheelchairs. They are ideal for chairs with sling seat upholstery or a solid seat base. The 20° bracket is designed for mounting on the side of the seat tube, and the 90° bracket is great for mounting on top. Either configuration places the belt as close as possible to the user, for better fit.
FeaturesUser Issues: Fall risk, sacral sitting (or risk for), posterior or anterior pelvic tilt, pelvic obliquity/rotation | Product Examples: Two or four-point hip belt, with sub-ASIS pads (LB belts) if needed. With significant sliding risk or obliquity/rotation, consider a four-point belt or Evoflex®. |

Q. What makes the rear-pull adjustment suitable for users with high muscle
tone?
A. The rear-pull design lets caregivers secure one side of the pelvis first,
locking it in place before adjusting the other. This is especially effective for
users with high tone or asymmetry, where precise positioning is critical.
Q. How does a four-point belt offer better pelvic control than a two-point
belt?
A. With four attachment points, this belt provides enhanced stability by
keeping the pelvis securely aligned, preventing the belt from shifting, riding
up, or twisting during movement or transfers.
Q. Why choose a side release buckle for wheelchair hip belts?
A. The side release buckle offers a balance of security and convenience,
providing a reliable snap-action closure that’s easy for caregivers to operate
while ensuring the belt stays securely fastened.
Q. What type of wheelchairs is this belt compatible with?
A. This belt is compatible with active wheelchairs using sling upholstery or
a solid seat base. When used with optional 20° or 90° seat mounting brackets, it
provides a snug, custom fit.
Q. What makes the padding comfortable for extended use?
A. It features closed-cell foam pads that offer excellent pressure
distribution, a wrinkle-free, soft fabric lining, and smooth edges to reduce
friction and discomfort during prolonged use.
Q. Can this belt be adjusted for different caregivers or users?
A. Yes. The rear-pull system allows consistent adjustment, while the D-ring
design accommodates larger hands and helps caregivers maintain control even when
dexterity is limited.
Q. How do I determine the size I need?
