Bodypoint® trimline shoulder harness features multi-directional (MD) pull straps which can be configured as either a front-pull or rear-pull at the time of fitting to better accommodate individual user needs. Trimline harness has two separate, adjustable padded straps that accommodates asymmetry, while keeping the chest clear for maximum freedom of movement. The trimline is ideal for those who need more focused shoulder retraction.
The optional grommet straps can be used as an alternative attachment method. Clip the grommet straps to the end of MD pull straps for more compact front-pull installation.
FeaturesThis trunk support requires a solid wheelchair back option.
User Issues: Shoulder rotation, spine stiffness/ pain, asymmetrical head position, scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis | Product Examples: For maximum shoulder retraction, consider the trimline harness (worn backpack style). For balanced shoulder/sternal support, choose the Dynamic PivotFit™ for more torso movement, or the standard version for spinal curvature and asymmetry. |

Q. Who is the Trimline harness best suited for?
A. It’s ideal for users who require individualized support for each
shoulder, especially those with asymmetrical posture, high tone, or strong
movement tendencies.
Q. How does the Trimline harness differ from H-style or PivotFit
harnesses?
A. Unlike H-style harnesses, the Trimline uses independent shoulder straps
for greater adjustability and control. Each strap can be positioned and
tensioned separately, which is helpful for users with uneven shoulder
positioning or tone.
Q. Is the Trimline harness comfortable for extended daily use?
A. Yes. The harness features laminar foam pads with Bodypoint's proprietary
edge binding that prevents skin irritation, along with breathable,
stretch-resistant materials for comfort throughout the day.
Q. Do I need strap guides for installation?
A. Strap guides are recommended if your wheelchair’s backrest height or
shape doesn’t allow optimal strap placement. They provide flexibility in
adjusting the height, angle, and horizontal position of the straps for better
support and comfort.
Q. Can the harness be used in both front-pull and rear-pull
configurations?
A. Yes, the Trimline Shoulder Harness features MD pull straps that can be
set up as either front-pull or rear-pull at the time of fitting, allowing
caregivers or users to adjust based on individual needs or independence level.
No need to choose the pull style when ordering.
