Q. What makes the Evoflex belt different from a regular pelvic positioning
belt?
A. Unlike traditional fabric belts that can twist or sag, the evoflex has
rigid straps that allow the belt to give firmer support. It is also mounted with
spring washers, allowing the belt to be easity moved out of the way when not in
use (and keeping it out of the wheelchair drive wheels).
Q. Will the Evoflex belt get in the way when transferring the user in and
out of the wheelchair?
A. Not at all. The belt’s stiffened straps conveniently pivot away from the
seat when unbuckled, making transfers smoother and reducing the need for
constant repositioning.
Q. Can the Evoflex belt help prevent sliding or slouching in the
wheelchair?
A. Absolutely. Its firm structure provides consistent anterior support,
which can help reduce posterior pelvic tilt—a common cause of slouching and skin
breakdown.
Q. How do I attach the Evoflex to a wheelchair
A. The evoflex comes with mounting hardware that can be used with our frame
clamps or mounted directly to the frame.
Q. What is the purpose of the optional belt extender?
A. The belt extender adds up to 12.5cm per side for wheelchairs with thicker
cushions or distant mounting points. Its locking pin prevents pivoting, or the
reverse side allows rotation, maintaining stiffness and ease of use.
