To ensure safety and optimal nutrition, follow these instructions carefully. Proper hygiene, handling, and storage are essential when preparing CALCILO XD formula. Consult your baby’s healthcare provider to determine whether you need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and sterilize feeding items before use.
- Wash hands, surfaces, and utensils thoroughly. Pour the desired amount of water into a clean bottle (refer to the mixing guide).
- Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.6 g) per 2 fl oz of water and return the dry scoop to the can.
- Cap bottle, shake well, and attach nipple.
Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

To prepare a larger batch using a standard measuring cup:
- Add 1 unpacked, level cup (not the enclosed scoop) of powder (105 g) to 24 fl oz of water.
- Yields approximately 26 fl oz of formula.
- Pour prepared formula into feeding bottles, cap, and refrigerate immediately.
The prepared formula should always be refrigerated and not left at room temperature.
When prepared as directed, one can make approximately 89 fl oz of formula at 20 Cal/fl oz.
Storage Instructions:
- Refrigerate the mixed formula and use it within 24 hours.
- Store unopened or opened cans at room temperature, away from extreme heat or cold.
- Use the contents of opened cans within one month.
Precautions
- Not intended for intravenous (IV) use.
- Do not heat formula in a microwave - this may cause burns.
- Powdered infant formula is not sterile and should not be used for premature infants or those with immune deficiencies unless medically directed.
- Calcium, vitamin D, and phosphorus levels should be evaluated through appropriate lab testing, as this formula does not meet standard intake requirements for these nutrients in healthy infants.
