Description

T.E.D Knee-Length Anti-Embolism Stockings are specially designed for the continued care of recuperating patients. They deliver clinically proven graduated compression to reduce thromboembolic disease, enhancing your recovery process effectively.

Features & Benefits

  • Clinically proven efficacy – Helps reduce the risk of DVT during recovery.
  • Graduated compression – Improves blood flow velocity and reduces venous distension.
  • Material: Made from high-quality nylon, ensuring durability and comfort for long-term use.
  • Patient comfort – Defined heel pocket for correct placement and closed-toe design for daily wear.
  • Safety by design – Knit structure, gusset, and pressure pattern help prevent tourniquet effects
  • Flexible fit – Inlay circumferential knit offers one-way horizontal stretch to fit a wide range of patients.
  • Latex-free – Not manufactured with natural rubber latex.
  • Popliteal pressure break – Helps maintain smooth circulation at the back of the knee.
  • Interrupted band & 2-ply gusset – Prevents tourniquet effect at the femoral vein.

How to Use

  1. Put your hand inside the stocking and grab the heel pocket.
  2. Pull the stocking inside out.
  3. Place the stocking over the foot and align the inspection toe hole beneath the toes. Ensure the heel is centered in the heel pocket.
  4. After applying the calf portion, rotate the stocking inward so the gusset rests over the femoral artery (slightly toward the inside of the thigh).
  5. Position the stitch change in thigh-length styles 3–5 cm below the knee. For knee-length styles, position the top 3–5 cm below the knee.

Which Size of TED Anti-Embolism Stockings Should I Choose?

The first thing that you will have to do when purchasing your Anti-Embolism Stockings is to select the correct size. You can do this by completing the following steps and looking at the table below:

  1. Measure your calf at its thickest part.
  2. Measure the distance from the bend of your knee to the bottom of your heel behind your leg.
  3. Make sure that the measurements are completed while standing (someone else can help if necessary).
