Vitale Ovine Collagen Dressings are advanced wound care products manufactured in the United States. Our ovine collagen dressing sheets are made entirely from ovine collagen. Vitale ovine collagen dressings are made from sheep raised in Australia, and because the sebaceous glands in ovine hides secrete lanolin (a wax), Vitale ovine collagen dressings naturally contain some lanolin. Natural lanolin is a protective moisturizing emollient that can help speed up skin repair.

• Type: Primary
• Stages: I-IV
• Drainage/Exudate: Light to Heavy

Directions to use:

1. Clean the wound with sterile physiological saline in accordance with established clinical protocols. Dry the surrounding skin carefully.
2. Apply a single application of Collagen Dressing directly to the wound surface. Cut the dressing to fit.
3. Select and apply the proper secondary dressing, such as Cover, Composite, or Hydrocolloid Dressings, etc.
4. Change dressings after three days, as prescribed, when thoroughly soaked, or in accordance with facility change policy.
5. When changing the secondary dressing, gently lift and remove any exposed collagen dressing, and debride as needed. Clean the wound with sterile physiological saline in accordance with established clinical protocols. Dry the surrounding skin carefully.
