Description

Conformant 2 Wound Contact Dressing is a sterile, transparent, and air-permeable wound veil designed to protect the wound and support healing. It provides a non-adherent barrier between the wound and secondary dressings, helping to reduce trauma during dressing changes. Made entirely from high-density polyethylene, it tears easily and uniformly in the direction of the grain for easy customization.

Features:

  • Sterile: Promotes a clean and safe wound environment.
  • Transparent: Allows for easy wound monitoring without requiring removal.
  • Air Permeable: Allows for better breathing and healing conditions.
  • Non-adherent: Reduces pain and tissue injury during dressing changes.
  • Conformable: Adapts to body contours for a secure fit.

Benefits:

  • Due to its flexible design, it can be utilized on almost any part of the body. The absorbent high-density polyethylene aids in the removal of exudate after application.
  • Fully covers the wound and allows for ongoing monitoring to identify when a dressing change is required.
  • Reduces maceration risk by allowing for clean, direct removal without ripping the surrounding skin or injuring newly formed tissue.
  • Allows for easy application because the material tears consistently along the grain and may be customized to fit the wound size.

Indications:

  • Abrasions.
  • Skin tears.
  • Minor burns and scalds.
  • Leg ulcers.
  • Pressure ulcers.
  • Surgical wounds.
  • Diabetic foot ulcers.
  • Second-degree burns.

Indications: Are indicated to provide covering for the wound bed.

  • Can be used in the management of partial and full-thickness wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, second-degree burns, surgical wounds and diabetic foot ulcers.
  • For OTC applications, it is indicated for the management of minor wounds, including abrasions, skin tears, first- and second-degree burns and scalds.

Contraindications: Not for third-degree burns.
