Corflo Enteral Y Extension Set - Each

Avanos Corflo 2 Port "Y" Extension Sets are meant to administer enteral nourishment, water, and pharmaceuticals via a feeding tube.

Features

• Tubing measures 5 inches in length, with an overall length of 8 inches.
• Y - extension set is provided to maintain the Y port on G-tubes or feeding tubes.
• The proximal Y port eliminates the need to disconnect from the pump to flush or administer drugs.

Instructions

• Cap access port.
• Insert the enteral administration set connector into the uncapped side of the “Y” Extension Set.
• Open the clip clamp and prime the tubing with the formula. Close the clip clamp.
• Insert the “Y” Extension set orange connector into the feeding tube. Open the clip clamp.
• To irrigate, aspirate, or administer medications, stop formula administration.
• The administration set tubing must be closed off before opening the access port:
  • Close roller clamp, or
  • Pinch the administration set tubing closed.
• To irrigate the feeding tube using a Luer slip or Luer lock syringe:
  • Insert the Luer syringe tip directly into the access port.
• To irrigate the feeding tube using a cath tip syringe: Insert the Luer tip of the syringe adaptor into the access port. Insert the syringe tip into the syringe adaptor, and hold firmly.
  • Vigorous pressure should not be used during irrigation.
  • The feeding tube should be flushed with water whenever formula is interrupted and BEFORE and AFTER medication administration.
  • The feeding tube should be irrigated routinely every four hours.
• After irrigation, close the access port and open the administration set tubing to allow formula flow:
  • Open the clip clamp, or
  • Release pinched tubing. Restart formula administration. Proceed with feeding.

• The products must be new, unused condition, not tampered with, in original packaging and returned at the customers expense in the original packaging.
• If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost will be deducted from the total refund.
• Hygiene, bath and toilet items cannot be returned once opened or used.
