Description

The Moog CURLIN 6000 Ambulatory Infusion Pump is expertly designed to provide home healthcare clinicians and pharmacists with precision, accuracy, and efficiency in delivering infusion therapy. Ideal for the expanding home infusion therapy market, the CURLIN 6000 offers multi-therapy delivery options in a compact, portable design, with built-in safety protocols for improved patient care.

Precision and Accuracy When It Counts: The patented curvilinear peristaltic design of the CURLIN 6000 delivers fluid in smaller, more precise increments compared to standard linear peristaltic pumps (Resolution of Flow). It also ensures steady fluid delivery throughout the entire infusion process (Continuity of Flow), which is essential for sensitive patients and low infusion rate drugs.

Understanding the Resolution of Flow and Continuity of Flow is crucial when administering infusions to patients requiring precise fluid delivery, such as those with short half-life medications or low infusion rates.

Multiple Therapy Options, One Device: The CURLIN 6000 is capable of handling a wide range of infusion profiles, from antibiotics and nutrition to specialized oncology medications, with five distinct therapy options:

  • Continuous: Delivers a consistent programmed infusion rate.
  • Intermittent: Provides infusion in programmed intervals at specified rates and volumes.
  • Variable: Features 24 customizable programs offering varying amounts, rates, and infusion times.
  • Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN): Delivers a steady rate of TPN with optional tapering at the beginning and/or end of the infusion.
  • Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA): Suitable for therapies requiring continuous infusion with patient-controlled demand boluses.

Compact, Multi-Therapy Device Designed for Convenience:

  • Easy-to-Use: The CURLIN 6000 features a simple programming interface with menu-driven protocols and context-sensitive HELP screens, making it extremely user-friendly.
  • Flexible: Offers multiple therapy options to meet specific patient needs, with access to detailed infusion data and actionable reports.
  • Cost-Effective: With its user-friendly design, reliable performance, low PVC set costs, and extensive training options, the CURLIN 6000 can help reduce the total cost of pump ownership.
  • Safe: Equipped with built-in safety features and compatible with the Protocol Library Safety System (PLSS), the CURLIN 6000 reduces the risk of unintended infusions by allowing pre-validated drug protocols or patient prescriptions to be uploaded.

Enhance safety and efficiency with the Protocol Library Safety System (PLSS): The PLSS allows you to create customized patient protocols and maintain a comprehensive drug library, streamlining programming and reducing user error.

Note:

  • PLSS is required for IV flow rates greater than 9.9 mL/hr.
  • Accuracy may vary when using syringes due to their physical properties.
