Cutimed Sorbact Gel is a hydrophobic bacteria-binding wound dressing based on Sorbact Technology. It features a green wound contact layer with a water-based gel containing carbomer and 10% propylene glycol. The dressing allows exudate to pass into a secondary dressing while hydrating and donating moisture to the wound bed. This helps maintain a moist wound environment and promotes autolytic debridement.
Features:
  - Not made with natural rubber latex

  - Effective for infection wound management

  - Safely removes hydrophobic bacteria

  - Requires a secondary dressing

  - Usable on both sides

  - Suitable for dry to heavily exuding wounds

  - Donates moisture and hydrates the wound bed

Benefits:
  - Reduces bioburden and supports effective wound healing with no known contraindications and low allergy risk

  - Irreversibly binds and removes hydrophobic bacteria without releasing active agents, minimizing resistance development

  - High moisture donation promotes autolytic debridement

  - Inhibits the growth of the top five WHO-listed pathogens (in vitro)

  - Helps maintain a moist wound environment for natural healing

Directions for Use:
  - Clean the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical practice

  - Select an appropriate dressing size

  - Remove the dressing from the peel pouch using an aseptic technique

  - If necessary, cut the dressing to size using aseptic technique

  - Ensure full contact between the dressing and wound surface; avoid overlapping surrounding skin or dense packing in deep wounds

  - Cover with a moisture-preserving secondary dressing (foam, absorbent pad, or film) and secure in place

  - Change frequency depends on exudate level and wound condition; dressing may remain for up to 7 days if clinically appropriate

How to Remove:
  - If the dressing adheres, moisten before removal to avoid disturbing the healing tissue

Indications:
  - Surgical wounds

  - Traumatic wounds

  - Pressure injuries

  - Diabetic foot ulcers

  - Venous leg ulcers

Wear Time: Dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on clinical condition.
