Danmar Hensinger Head Support

Danmar Hensinger Head Support soft foam wraparound collar is designed to brace the head by the jawline. Hensinger Head Support can help maintain mid-line head positioning. Proper head positioning facilitates improved breathing, swallowing, and simplified feeding. It also aids in social interaction and awareness during classroom activities. The 6810 Hensinger is built with a strong yet pliable reinforcement material around the outside of the support. A simple Quick-Release buckle allows easy on/off. The Hensinger Head Support can be used with chest support or mounted to a seating system. Soft covers are included.

Liner Cushion helps reduce the inner circumference of any helmets. It comes in two thicknesses ¼” (reduces circumference by 1”) and ½” (reduces circumference by 2”). There is an adhesive back on one side to secure the pad after the proper position is found.

Hensinger will be sent Unmounted unless options are checked. Mounted version comes with a mount plate and straps to attach to a permanent seating system or wheelchair.

Custom and Non-Standard size Helmets and Headgears ordered are not returnable.

• Manufacturer warrants all its products against defects in material or workmanship for 90 days from invoice date.
• This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cost of inconvenience, property damage, abuse, accident or similar incidents.
• Parts under warranty will be covered at no cost. Any labor cost for service under warranty is not covered as per our terms of sale.
• Standard manufacturer terms and conditions are applicable for warranty of this product.

A. Measure the inner neck circumference. Sizes range from:

• X-Small: 9" circumference, 1" thick
• Small: 12" circumference, 1.5" thick
• Medium: 14" circumference, 2" thick
• Large: 16" circumference, 2.5" thick

Choose based on comfort and fit to ensure proper support.

Q. What is the difference between Mounted and Unmounted versions?
A.

• Mounted: Includes a mounting plate and straps to attach to a wheelchair or seating system.  
• Unmounted: Wraps around the neck without hardware. Ideal for flexible use.

Allow 5–7 business days for fabrication of mounted versions.

Q. Is the head support easy to put on and remove?
A. It features a Quick-Release buckle, allowing for fast, hassle-free application and removal—especially important for caregivers and therapists.

Q. Are replacement covers or custom options available?
A. A soft cover is included, and custom Lycra covers can be ordered for an additional charge (fabrication takes 5–7 business days). These help maintain hygiene and comfort.
