Derma Sciences Petrolatum Impregnated Non Adherent Gauze Dressing is a gauze dressing designed primarily for packing full thickness wounds. Packing gauze is ideal for wound healing because of its capacity to provide and maintain a moist atmosphere. To help in the recovery process, this thin but soft gauze is coated with white petrolatum, or petroleum jelly.

As a non-adherent dressing, these can be removed at any moment without causing harm to the wound bed or the person wearing it. Each petrolatum-packed dressing makes it a better alternative for treating prolonged skin wounds. Indications for the gauze dressing include management of full-thickness chronic wounds such as stage 2-4 pressure ulcers, tunneling wounds, and non-infected wounds.
