Active Ingredients

• Methylene blue (up to 0.25 mg/g)
• Gentian violet (up to 0.25 mg/g)

How to Apply

• Cleanse the wound according to local infection control protocols
• Ensure surrounding skin is clean and dry; apply skin barrier prep if needed
• Cut the dressing to size if required
• Apply directly to the wound, ensuring full contact with the wound bed
• Dressing may be rolled or layered to lightly pack tunneling or undermined wounds
• Secure with an appropriate cover dressing

Indications for Use

DermaBlue+ Foam is indicated for moderately to heavily exuding partial- to full-thickness wounds, including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers and venous ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Graft wounds and donor sites
• Skin tears
• Surgical wounds
• Lacerations and abrasions
• First- and second-degree burns

Contraindications

• Should not be used on patients with known sensitivity to silver or any component of the dressing
• Not indicated for third-degree burns

Warnings & Precautions

• For single use only
• Dressing is sterile unless the package is opened or damaged
• Do not re-sterilize
• Discontinue use if signs of an allergic reaction develop

Use and Application

The dressing may remain in place for up to 3 days, or as directed by a qualified healthcare professional, and should always be secured with an appropriate secondary dressing.
