- Cohesive layer - Self-adhering to secure bandage system, providing graduated compression for seven-day wear time.
INDICATIONS for DeWrap: Layered compression wraps are indicated for the treatment of - lower extremity edema and ulcerations associated with venous insufficiency. Venous malfunction results in a series of events including increased hydrostatic pressure, venous hypertension and eventually skin ulceration. DeWrap 3 Layer Compression System provides appropriate levels of compression to improve the calf muscle pump function to reduce venous hypertension and lower extremity edema which will promote healing of venous ulcerations. DeWrap can be used alone to manage lower extremity edema associated with venous hypertension or in conjunction with Multidex covered by Polyderm as such dressing absorptive an , Sofsorb , or Multi pad to help venous ulcerations heal. Maximum wear time for DeWrap is seven days.
Contraindications for DeWrap: be used for the NOT DeWrap 3 Layer Compression System should - management of lower extremity edema or ulcers associated with dia-betes, congestive heart failure, cancer related lymphedema or arte rial insufficiency.
Removal:
- Remove DeWrap with blunt bandage scissors.
- Dispose of soiled dressing per institution’s policy.
- DeWrap package may be used to discard soiled dressing.
