Medical Benefits of Standing Frame
Easystand Zing Size 2 Multi-Position Stander is available in 2 base options: Gas spring lift and Pow'r up lift. The Zing MPS Stander provides a new therapeutic opportunity for standing in supine, upright and prone position without having to transfer the child in and out of the stander to switch between supine or prone standing. Standing in the zing is easier due to tool free adjustments, which often leads to increased standing program compliance. Zing Multi-Position Stander offers up to 30° (60° bi-lateral) of independent leg abduction. Easystand Zing MPS is a pediatric stander which allows a child to seamlessly go from a full supine to prone position without having to change, turn or flip pads and foot plates. The base unit is equipped with a prone position lockout to prevent inadvertently going past vertical.
A gas spring lift lockout is available to prevent any inadvertent position changes which can be useful if other children are present during standing sessions and a pendent with simple arrow buttons controls the Pow’r Up Lift and position changes. Zing MPS is the only multi-position stander that pivots two directions, allowing the unit to go from flat-to-load supine to 20° prone in one motion. Zing MPS Size 2 helps in accommodating leg length discrepancies and hip and knee contractures with the help of multi-adjustable foot plates, independent adjustable calf pads and multi-adjustable knee pads.

FAQs
Q. What situations typically lead
families or clinics to consider the Zing MPS Size 2?
A.
This multi-position pediatric stander is often selected when a child needs supported standing in supine, upright, and prone positions without repeated transfers as body size and strength increase.
Q. What differences exist between the gas
spring lift and Pow'r Up lift bases?
A.
The gas spring lift uses foot or hand controls for manual positioning, while the Pow'r Up lift uses a powered pendant with arrow buttons for controlled, assisted position changes.
Q. What role does independent leg
abduction play during supported standing?
A.
Up to 30 degrees of independent leg abduction per side supports proper hip alignment and weight distribution while keeping feet aligned with the legs.
Q. Which height and weight range aligns
with the Size 2 configuration?
A.
The Size 2 model supports individuals between 40 and 60 inches tall and accommodates user weights up to 154 lbs, making it suitable for older children and early adolescents.
Q. Why does two-direction pivoting matter
in a multi-position stander?
A.
Two-direction pivoting allows smooth movement from flat-to-load supine to upright and up to 20 degrees prone in one motion, reducing handling demands during daily standing routines.
Q. What safety features help prevent
unintended movement?
A.
A prone position lockout limits frame travel beyond vertical, and an optional gas spring lift lockout helps prevent accidental position changes in shared environments.
Q. How does this stander manage
contractures or uneven lower limb alignment?
A.
Multi-adjustable foot plates, knee pads, and independent calf supports allow individualized positioning for hip, knee, or ankle limitations without custom fabrication.
Q. What makes the swing-away tray
practical during therapy sessions?
A.
The tray stays attached during transfers, swings away from either side, and creates space for activities or interaction once standing is achieved.
Q. What therapy goals are commonly
supported with regular use?
A.
Standing programs often target bone health, joint alignment, circulation, trunk engagement, and overall musculoskeletal development when used under clinical guidance.
Q. How adaptable is this stander as
positioning needs change over time?
A.
With more than 75 compatible support and positioning accessories, the system can be adjusted from a basic standing frame to a more supportive configuration.
