Instructions for Preparation & Use
The baby’s health depends on carefully following the instructions below. Use only as directed by a medical professional. Proper hygiene, preparation, dilution, use, and storage are essential when preparing infant formula. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants with immune concerns unless directed and supervised by a doctor. Discuss with parents which formula is appropriate for the baby.
Discuss with parents whether cooled, boiled water is required for mixing and whether utensils, bottles, and nipples should be sterilized before use.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparation.
- Pour the desired amount of water into the bottle and add powder.
- Cap the bottle and SHAKE WELL.
WARNING: Do not use a microwave oven to warm formula. Serious burns may result.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Once prepared, infant formula can spoil quickly. Either feed immediately or refrigerate at 35–40°F (2–4°C) for no longer than 24 hours. Do not use the prepared formula left unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula. After feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Storage/Handling: Store powder at room temperature and avoid extreme temperatures. After opening, keep the lid tightly closed, store in a dry location, and use the contents within 1 month. Use the tub only for Enfamil Infant formula. Keep powder fresh and prevent bacterial growth by ensuring the container remains clean and completely dry.
