ExcelGinate AG Silver Alginate Dressing has a unique composition of calcium alginate fibers that, when exposed to wound exudate, form a gel-like substance. This gel not only keeps the wound moist, which is necessary for optimal healing, but it also aids in the management and absorption of excess fluid, lowering the risk of maceration and maintaining skin integrity. This advanced dressing combines calcium alginate's high absorbency with silver's strong antimicrobial properties to provide a comprehensive approach to wound healing and infection control. This dressing is adaptable and can be used on a wide range of wound types, including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, surgical wounds, and traumatic injuries. Its high absorbency and antimicrobial properties make it ideal for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate.

• An effective barrier to microbial penetration for moderate to heavy exudating partial and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, donor and graft sites, traumatic and surgical wounds and 1st and 2nd degree burns.
