FAQs
FAQs
Q. How does a 4-point pelvic belt provide more
support than a 2-point belt?
A.
The 4-point design attaches to the wheelchair at four locations instead
of two, which spreads pressure across a larger area and reduces the risk
of skin irritation. It also provides greater security for users with
more complex positioning needs.
Q. Why is the V-contour padding important?
A.
The V-shaped padding distributes pressure evenly across the hips and pelvis, reducing peak pressure spots. This helps improve comfort and lowers the risk of skin breakdown during long hours of sitting.
Q. What buckle type does this belt use?
A.
It includes a side-release buckle that allows quick fastening and
unfastening. This makes it easy for caregivers and users with limited
hand strength to manage the belt.
Q. What size options are available for this
pelvic belt?
A.
- Small: 1" belt width
- Medium: 1.5" belt width
- Large: 2" belt width
The size should be chosen based on the user's body size and wheelchair setup.
Q. Is the belt easy to adjust for different
users?
A.
The D-rings at the strap ends make tightening or loosening easier, even
for people with limited dexterity or caregivers making quick
adjustments.
Q. Is the belt compatible with all wheelchairs?
A.
The belt attaches to most manual and power wheelchairs with appropriate mounting points. It's important to check wheelchair compatibility during setup.
