FAQs

Q. What is the purpose of the Jay Padded Anterior Trunk Strap?
A.
The Jay Trunk Strap provides padded chest support to help wheelchair users sit upright. It encourages better posture, improves head and arm control, and may assist with breathing by keeping the torso stable.
Q. What sizes are available for the Jay Padded Trunk Strap?
A.
The strap comes in five sizes—X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large—so it can be fitted for children, adults, and larger users.
Q. Does the Jay anterior trunk strap restrict arm movement?
A.
No. It is designed to allow shoulder rotation and reaching, so users maintain functional arm mobility while still having upper body support.
Q. Can this strap help improve posture in long-term wheelchair users?
A.

By keeping the torso in better alignment, it promotes upright posture, reduces slouching, and helps maintain long-term seating stability.

Q. How does this strap compare to a full chest harness?
A.
Unlike a full harness, the anterior trunk strap offers support while allowing more freedom of movement. It is a good choice for users who need posture assistance but still want flexibility in the shoulders and arms.
