Leukomed T plus Transparent Film Dressing with Pad are to be used to cover operation sites after surgery or other wounds or scrapes. These bandages have the advantage of being waterproof which allows the patient much more freedom and flexibility to go about normal tasks while wearing it. Leukomed T Plus has an absorbent fleece pad, which makes it ideal for use on wounds or scrapes that are still secreting fluids. There is a polypropylene coating on the pad that helps prevent it from sticking to the wound which can cause pulling or tearing of the wound. This is especially helpful when attempting to remove or replace the bandage. Leukomed T Plus does a great job of preventing tearing or discomfort. Leukomed T Plus bandages are simple to place and to remove. First, peel away the release paper on the underside of the bandage and then place the bandage carefully over the wound. Press gently down to ensure that the adhesive bonds properly with the skin. Then, while holding the red handling tape, peel away the top protective film and discard it. Leukomed T Plus bandages come in a large variety of sizes. The polyacrylate adhesive creates a waterproof seal, which allows the patient to be able to shower or bathe while wearing a bandage. This level of resilience is unusual in a bandage adhesive and sets Leukomed apart from the rest. In order to minimize the chance of spreading infection Leukomed T Plus bandages are sterilized and individually wrapped. The outer layer, made of polyurethane, is designed to be both waterproof and bacteria proof, in order to further reduce the risk of contamination.
