The off/on/volume knob adjusts up/down from 1 to 1 conversation to attentive groups of up to 100. Helpful for almost any kind of limited voice volume and for teachers, group leaders, tour guides, and public speakers with or without voice problems. Teachers at the board can "scootch" it around to the back to allow talking to students while writing. If sitting at a desk or table, the ChatterVox usually must be removed and set up on the surface to avoid squealing and distortion. Can use a variety of mics.
