ManukaMed ManukaHD Lite Honey Impregnated Dressing is a super absorbent gelling fiber dressing infused with 100% medical-grade Leptospermum scoparium (Manuka) honey from New Zealand. The hydrocolloid-coated surface interacts with wound exudate to form a gentle, non-adherent interface, allowing for the steady release of Manuka honey. This helps maintain a moist, balanced environment that supports effective wound healing. The natural honey properties help reduce unpleasant wound odor, while its osmotic action encourages autolytic debridement of necrotic tissue. ManukaHD Lite is suitable for both partial and full-thickness wounds.

Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to honey or bee products. Mild stinging may occur due to the honey's osmotic action or low pH - this is typically temporary. If discomfort persists, discontinue use and rinse the wound gently with sterile saline.
Directions for Use: Gently irrigate wound with a sterile wound cleanser or saline. Remove protective liners. Apply directly to wound, either side down. Dressing may be cut to size. For large wounds, use additional dressings and place side by side. Cover with a non-adherent, absorbent dressing (gauze roll).
Dressing Change: Change frequency depends on wound drainage and condition. Replace the dressing once saturated or when exudate decreases. As healing progresses, changes may be reduced to every 2-3 days. If the dressing adheres, moisten with sterile saline before removal. Reapply as needed.
Precautions: Although honey dressings have not been shown to increase blood sugar levels in diabetic patients, blood glucose should be monitored during use.
Note:
- Do not reuse.
- Do not re-sterilize.
- Do not use if package damaged.
