McKesson Collagen Dressings with Silver Advanced wound care dressing made of collagen, sodium alginate, carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and silver chloride (AgCl) Topically applied wound dressing transforms into a soft gel sheet when in contact with wound exudates Maintains a moist environment at the wound surface to aid in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization Facilitates natural wound healing - EDTA and collagen target and deactivate elevated MMP activity EDTA in the dressing removes zinc to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) for a suitable environment for wound healing. Silver chloride serves as an effective antimicrobial solution intended to reduce and prevent bacterial colonization within the wound dressing Intended for management of full- and partial-thickness wounds including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, ulcers caused by mixed vascular aetiologies, venous ulcers, donor and graft sites, abrasions, traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention, dehisced surgical wounds, and first- and second-degree burns.

• Dressing may be cut to fit the wound size or layered to manage deep wounds.
• Dressing change frequency - daily (or possibly up to 7 days depending on wound type).
• Should not be used on third degree burns or on patients with a known allergy or sensitivity to animal derived collagen, silver, or any other ingredient.
