Medline Curad Xeroform Petrolatum Dressing is a sterile, non-adherent wound dressing designed to absorb fluid from light-draining wounds while maintaining a moist environment that promotes healing. The dressing helps reduce trauma and discomfort during dressing changes. It is made from U.S.P. absorbent fine mesh petrolatum gauze impregnated with a 3% Bismuth Tribromophenate deodorizing agent that helps maintain moisture balance and control odor, making it ideal for various wound care needs.
Features:
- Not made with natural rubber latex, safe for latex-sensitive patients.
- U.S.P. absorbent fine mesh petrolatum gauze impregnated with 3% Bismuth Tribromophenate to help maintain moisture and provide deodorizing benefits.
- Non-adherent design prevents sticking to the wound or periwound skin, minimizing pain and trauma during dressing changes.
- Permeable construction allows minimal drainage to pass through to a secondary dressing while maintaining a moist healing environment.
- Soft and conformable material easily adapts to body contours for optimal coverage and comfort.
Indications: Ideal for non-draining to lightly draining wounds, including:
- Lacerations
- Donor sites
- Abrasions
- Minor or partial thickness burns
- Skin graft sites and suture wounds
Contraindication: Not recommended for use on heavily draining wounds.
