Opticell Ag+ Silver Antibacterial Gelling Fiber Dressing utilizes advanced Chytoform technology to promote an optimal wound healing environment. Made from chitosan - a natural material derived from crustacean shells - the dressing transforms into a soft, conformable gel upon contact with moisture. This gel conforms closely to the wound bed, maintaining ideal moisture balance and supporting autolytic debridement. As a non-adhesive primary dressing, it requires a secondary cover such as gauze or tape for secure placement. The ionic silver content delivers long-lasting antimicrobial protection for up to seven days, reducing the risk of infection and minimizing dressing change frequency. The sterile, latex-free composition ensures safety for sensitive skin.

Indications: Suitable for ideal for partial- and full-thickness wounds of all drainage levels.

Contraindications: Not indicated for third-degree burns or in individuals with known sensitivity to silver or chitosan (a derivative of shellfish).

Directions to Use:

1. Remove the dressing from the package.
2. Loosely fill the wound. Opticell Ag+ may be premoist- ened with sterile water or saline before applying.
3. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.

Change Frequency: May be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound drainage and clinical assessment. Change the dressing when the secondary cover becomes saturated or leakage occurs.

Storage: Store at controlled room temperature (15°C - 30°C / 59°F - 86°F), avoiding freezing and excessive heat. Transient temperature spikes up to 40°C (104°F) are acceptable.

Caution:

• For external use only.
• Single use only, do not re-sterilize.
• Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if irritation or sensitivity occurs.

Note: Dressing will become gel-like as it absorbs wound exudate. It may be used under medical supervision alongside systemic antibiotics for optimal infection management.
