Opticell Gelling Fiber Wound Dressing with Chytoform features advanced chitosan-based gelling fiber technology, which allows the dressing's absorbent fibers to transform into a clear, conformable gel. This unique gelling action effectively manages wound drainage and helps remove dead, damaged, or infected tissue, trapping it for easy removal during dressing changes. The technology wicks fluid vertically without lateral spread, reducing the risk of periwound maceration and protecting the surrounding skin.

Features:

• Not made with natural rubber latex, safe for latex-sensitive patients.
• Gelling action effectively manages drainage and traps exudate for removal during dressing changes.

 Indications:

• For use to control minor bleeding
• Great for partial- and full-thickness wounds of all drainage levels.

Contraindications: Third degree burns or individuals with a known sensitivity to Chitosan, which is a derivative of shellfish.

Change Frequency: Dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound condition and exudate level. For burn treatment, it may remain in place for up to 14 days.
