Optifoam Ag Nonadhesive Foam Dressing

Optifoam Non-Adhesive Foam Dressing offers superior fluid handling capacity and versatility for various wound types. Designed to create an ideal healing environment, it features a waterproof outer layer that shields the wound from external contaminants while helping to prevent bacterial entry. The dressing's moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) adjusts according to the wound's fluid level, maintaining the right balance between moisture and breathability. Each dressing contains approximately 0.13% by weight of silver chloride, providing effective antimicrobial protection.

Indications:

• Pressure injuries
• Partial and full-thickness wounds
• Surgical and post-operative wounds
• Wounds with bacterial colonization
• Leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers
• Donor sites, lacerations, and abrasions
• Skin tears and minor burns
• Suitable for use under compression bandages

Contraindications:

• Third-degree burns
• Lesions with active vasculitis
• Patients with known sensitivity to silver

Direction to Use:

1. Remove the non-adhesive dressing from the sterile package.
2. Place the dressing with the logo side facing away from the wound. Ensure it covers both the wound and surrounding skin.
3. Secure the dressing with medical tape or a suitable secondary dressing such as an elastic net.

Change Frequency: Replace the dressing when drainage is visible near the edges of the foam pad. Optifoam Ag Non-Adhesive may be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate levels.
