Medline Optifoam Non-Adhesive Foam Wound Dressings are primary wound care dressings designed to absorb moderate to high levels of exudate while maintaining an optimal healing environment. Constructed from soft foam, these sterile, latex-free dressings move with the patient and provide reliable fluid absorption. The waterproof outer layer protects the wound, helping to control the healing environment, reduce bacterial growth, and maintain proper hygiene.

Features:

• Adaptive moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) automatically adjusts to fluid levels, enhancing breathability and preventing maceration.
• Highly absorbent foam core effectively manages exudate, supporting a moist healing environment and reducing dressing changes.

Indications:

• Pressure injuries
• Partial and full- thickness wounds
• Leg ulcers
• Donor sites
• Lacerations and abrasions
• Skin tears
• First- and second-degree burns

Contraindications: Third-degree burns and lesions with active vasculitis

Directions for Use:

1. Remove Optifoam Non-Adhesive from the package.
2. Place dressing with white side covering the wound. Use a dressing large enough to cover the wound and surrounding skin.
3. Secure the dressing with tape or other secondary dressing such as elastic net.

Frequency of Dressing Change: Change the dressing when drainage is visible to the edges of the foam pad. The dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days depending on exudate levels.
